Nadia Lyotard, DMD, MSD was born and raised in Switzerland and is a third-generation dentist. She grew up watching her mother practice orthodontics and was greatly influenced by her dedication to creating beautiful smiles in a way that simultaneously improved the long-term health and function of her patients’ teeth and dentition.
Dr. Lyotard was also inspired by the long Swiss tradition of precision, high-quality work known to much of the world in the production of such items as precision watches, quantum super colliders, and delicious chocolate.
While Switzerland was a quaint country to grow up in, Dr. Lyotard decided that the United States, known for its broad and diverse opportunities, was the right place to start her future. She began her U.S. adventure in 1997 and delights in the numerous experiences she has had and the many interesting people she has met along the way.
Dr. Lyotard received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University and her Master of Science in dentistry from Case Western Reserve University. She received her certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from Case Western Reserve University’s orthodontic program in 2006, after completing their 3 year residency program. Following graduation, she joined a group practice in Houston and successfully saw more than 1,200 patients complete their orthodontic treatment over the next seven years.
In 2013, Dr. Lyotard purchased Highland Park Orthodontics. She began working closely with the experienced orthodontist from whom she acquired the practice, who was recognized for her knowledge of using Invisalign® clear aligners. For the next two and a half years, she had the opportunity to be mentored by her predecessor in advanced Invisalign® treatment planning techniques.
Dr. Lyotard has been designated an Elite Provider by Invisalign® based on her level of experience planning Invisalign® cases. She combines her considerable training and experience in order to offer patients who have more challenging bite problems the option of being treated with Invisalign®, when their only option traditionally might have been conventional braces. When Invisalign® appliances are not appropriate, or a patient prefers a more traditional treatment, our office offers state of the art brackets made in the U.S. by American Orthodontics.
